Kathryn Andrade is currently a Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas at El Paso where she is pursuing a Masters in Horn Performance. While at UTEP, she has performed and worked with many ensembles including, the UTEP Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Symphony Band, Horn Choir, Brass Choir, and the Marching Miners. In addition to university ensembles, she is a member of the El Paso Wind Symphony and has performed with the Roswell Symphony Orchestra. Kathryn’s current teacher of horn is Mr. Rick Lambrecht.
Kathryn graduated with her Bachelors in Music Education (summa cum laude) from UTEP in 2015. As an undergrad, she participated in the ensembles mentioned above and was awarded Outstanding Music Education student. Kathryn is also a member of the music honor society, Pi Kappa Lambda. After receiving her Masters, she hopes to become a high school band director and to continue playing her horn as much as possible.
